Molasses is a byproduct of the sugar cane industry. The syrup is produced following the removal of raw sugar from the sugar cane. Molasses is used
for feeding to livestock not only as a source of energy but also to:
- improve palatability
- encourage intake of bitter nutrients
- reduce dust and fines in a mix
- low cost ingredient
